Newborn Sessions

Those chubby cheeks, curled toes, itsy bitsy fingernails, angelic lips, and sweet newborn cry - they will not be the same tomorrow, even less so the day after that.  Every day that goes by, that sweet little baby transforms into the ever-growing person they will become.  No matter what you do, you can't stop it...it's inevitable, unchangeable.  As sad as that all seems, there is hope!  With a photo, those memories will stand the test of time.  Photos help bring those feelings, those smells, those sounds to the surface as if they were yesterday.  I'd love to help you capture those photos, those timeless memories, of your sweet baby.  

I hold newborn sessions at my home studio in south-central Connecticut.  I love to have new moms (or dads :) )  participate in the session by "assisting" me with poses and props.  I feel that when parents have a role in the photos, it makes them even more special.  I have a wide selection of backgrounds, wraps, outfits, and props to choose from.  My studio sessions are outlined in more detail below.

I also offer in-home "lifestyle" sessions to capture your family in their natural setting with limited use of props and poses.  Just those special moments between you and your baby during their first moments on the earth.
